YONEX New Product Launch: 2020 Partner Meeting Held in Chengdu
On July 15, the 2020 YONEX New Product Launch Partner Meeting kicked off at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center. The venue spanned over 4,000 square meters, with more than 1,200 attendees, and featured renowned badminton and tennis players such as Xie Xingfang, Zheng Jie, Wang Yafan, and Wang Xiyu. Of course, the most dazzling part was the array of new products introduced by YONEX.
The Mysterious "J1 and T1"
New Product Highlight: Badminton Rackets

01
What everyone anticipated most on site were the two new rackets from the NANOFLARE series, one made in Japan and the other in Taiwan. These rackets, long rumored among players, made their first appearance at the partner meeting. However, since the official release is still pending, attendees could only see them in blacked-out prototypes, codenamed J1 and T1.
Designed for advanced players, the "J1 and T1" feature a new AERO frame, crafted with top-tier technology to create an ultra-thin frame that reduces air resistance from all angles by 360 degrees, further enhancing smash speed and drive speed. They also incorporate EX-HYPER CARBON, delivering the "self-rebound" performance favored by high-level enthusiasts.
Although "you can't see them but can touch them," during the hands-on session at the partner meeting, guests experienced the charm of these two rackets up close. The unanimous praise from attendees kept the suspense until the very end. Stay tuned for the "first meeting" with the new rackets on July 27.

Limited-Edition "Black-Gold Battle Racket"
New Product Highlight: Tennis Racket
The limited-edition EZONE racket launched for Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka was another major highlight of the new product launch. The ISOMETRIC head that effectively enlarges the sweet spot, the HYPER-MG carbon that enhances torsional resistance and repulsion, and the micro-offset grommet layout that upgrades hitting comfort—these are all core technologies YONEX is proud of. But the familiar formula takes on new value due to its special significance.
After winning back-to-back Grand Slams this year, the 21-year-old Naomi Osaka rose to the top of the WTA rankings. To commemorate this leap, YONEX released this limited-edition EZONE racket in black and gold, with only 10,000 pieces worldwide. July 15 was also the launch date of this racket.
Crafting an Ultra-Soft Fit
New Product Highlight: Badminton Shoes
03
In terms of badminton shoes, the popular 65Z has received an upgrade with the 65Z2, which boasts YONEX's "ultra-soft fit."
To achieve this pressure-free wearing experience, the designers pulled out all the stops: a new shape with a crease-free design for a soft, snug fit; increased ventilation holes on the upper and sole for better breathability; and YONEX's signature Power Cushion+ for enhanced shock absorption and rebound. Through multi-dimensional innovation in structure and materials, the shoes have reached a new level of comfort.
