The Importance of Resource Integration in Event Planning

When assigned an event task, after understanding the client's initial purpose for the event, we must begin the related work of resource integration. The ability to integrate resources is crucial for event planning.

Resource integration includes three major sections: the collection and organization of information, the structuring of the upcoming event, and the formation of later creative concepts and the production of proposals, which establish the basic framework.

1. The scope of the event is determined by target audience resources.

This section includes the collection of data on purchasing power, brand loyalty, buying habits, and target audience concentration. For example, when conducting a promotional event, the location selection needs to consider factors such as foot traffic and bagging rate, requiring a certain understanding of the target audience in the area. The target audience's purchase timing, frequency, brand loyalty or price sensitivity, purchase volume, and what else they care about besides brand awareness and price, as well as how they obtain information, are all aspects that need to be researched. After considering the above factors, the scope of the event can be basically determined.

2. The structure of external resources is the breadth of the event.

External resources generally refer to venue resources, network resources, media resources, and material resources. External resources have a huge impact on the entire event and can be said to be an important component of the entire event platform.

3. Internal resources.

This section mainly considers the event executor's material resources, financial resources, human resources, cohesion, and execution capability. As the saying goes: "The size of the stage depends on the size of the performer." No matter how strong the external resources are, if internal execution is insufficient, the event will be difficult to achieve expectations. If you have strong human and media resources, you may be able to hold a large-scale event.
