Where Event Creativity Shines
Which Parts of an Event Can Showcase Creativity?
1.1. Fresh Event Themes
For example, a themed warm-up activity is far more novel than a DIY or a traditional party. Even for a conventional gala, you can design a theme to wrap it in, such as ancient Chinese style, fairy tale, forest, or space themes. Then, with slight coordination in performances and set design, it instantly elevates the event.
Another example: a real estate client wanted a creative dance warm-up with a tech feel. In that case, consider recommending a 3D interactive dance, where the LED background changes with the dancer's steps and body movements. Such a cool opening surely beats a simple dance.
1.2. Novel Performances – This Can Be Divided into Two Aspects
1.2.1. Innovative Performance Formats
Let's talk about the Spring Festival Gala, which is a high-standard show in China and often features innovative acts. For instance, the shadow dance (by a Hungarian or Austrian troupe, I can't recall) and the holographic projection interactive video show (one year with Han Geng) have been on the gala.
1.2.2. Original Performances
Specifically, this means customization. A common customized option is sand painting, though it's a bit overused; it's still cost-effective if budget is tight. But we recommend acts with more wow factor.
Example: A real estate client needed robot interaction combined with a performance and a tech feel. We recommended the NK01 robot, which excels at singing, dancing, and hosting. It also offers a unique VR perspective that broadcasts the performance from a first-person view on large screens or live streaming platforms. It has shared the stage with stars like Da Zhangwei and TFBoys.
1.3. Innovative Stage Design
In short, it's all about unconventional shapes: irregular stages, backdrops, check-in areas, and entrance arches. Avoid the traditional truss and printed fabric approach; go for custom shapes.
1.4. Creative Details – Some Ideas I Can Think Of
1.4.1. Check-in
For a supplier appreciation dinner, we created a check-in themed "fish and water symbiosis": the backdrop was a large river, and guests signed on fish-shaped PVC boards, which we then attached to the backdrop. For a Chinese-style theme, we gave guests waist tags to write their names on and hang on a hero board.
Of course, there are also high-tech check-in methods like facial recognition, WeChat check-in, and 3D surround photo check-in.
1.4.2. Launch Ceremonies or Similar Climax Segments
This includes product reveals, event launches, lighting ceremonies, groundbreaking ceremonies, etc. Typically, once this segment ends, the main event is over.
This is a crucial creative point. For example, for a real estate client's renovation launch ceremony, we customized a themed prop covered with red cloth. The cloth was tied with helium balloons; at the launch, leaders cut the strings, and the balloons lifted the cloth into the air, revealing the theme. Besides traditional launches, you can also use WeChat to involve all guests.
1.4.3. Opening Performances
This is already covered in 1.2 under innovative performances, so no need to repeat.
In summary, if you can innovate in all these areas, your event will be truly impressive.
