Sunac Sen & Sea Future International Life Launch Held in Hangzhou

On the afternoon of November 2, the Sunac Sen & Sea Future International Life Launch was held at the Hangzhou Grand Theatre. It was a dialogue between Hangzhou's local works and the future, and a gaze toward the world.

Peng Lufeng, General Manager of Sunac China Southeast Regional Group Hangzhou Land Company; Li Gongwen, Deputy General Manager of Nanchang Municipal Public Real Estate Group and Chairman of Sunac Sen & Sea Project; renowned property research and commentary expert Ding Jiangang; and about 1,500 media and community members witnessed the moving glimpse of the future international life of Sen & Sea City.

Hangzhou is a city inseparable from water, possessing both the softness of West Lake and the grandeur of the Qiantang River tide. Under the city's river-development strategy, the south bank is rising in contrast to the mature north bank. Following the development of the Olympic Sports area, the greater Jiangnan area, and Xiaoshan South, the government has initiated the development of the Sanjiangkou New City, turning the new prospects of the Qiantang, Fuchun, and Puyang rivers into reality stroke by stroke.

Sen & Sea City, nestled among mountains and embraced by the Puyang River, is Sunac's next future gift to Hangzhou. In this emerging area, a future international city with mixed functions will be built on this over 5,000-mu scenic and livable land.

Renowned property research and commentary expert Ding Jiangang delivered a keynote speech at the launch, discussing Hangzhou's urban development and the future direction of living. Ding stated: "The urbanization process of Hangzhou is a microcosm of China's urbanization; in the past 20 years, all cities have undergone tremendous changes. The city's new round of urban structure has seen dramatic shifts, moving from a single-core city to a multi-core city." Where is Hangzhou's future? He expressed optimism about the "Sen & Sea" international living model community, noting that Sunac has the capability to manage such a million-level project.

Peng introduced that Sen & Sea covers approximately 5,000 mu, a rare large-scale development within Hangzhou's urban area. On this land of hills, lakes, interwoven roads, and preserved historical relics, it integrates four key factors: government co-construction to create a future community integrating industry and city; co-creation with indigenous residents to build Sen & Sea together; master teams, collaborating with AECOM, Elephant Architecture Design Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhang Tang Landscape Office, Sunwen Design Office, and other leading design masters; and resource empowerment, with Sunac Cultural Tourism and Sunac Culture fully investing resources. With the combined effect of multi-party empowerment, "Sunac has the capability and strength to bring a future international living city to Hangzhou."

Chen Liju, General Manager of Sunac Sen & Sea Project, provided a detailed interpretation of the project's specific planning under the theme "The International Dream of a Big City and Small Town": "Attracting more people from around the world, being inclusive, and always being able to find or create beloved scenes and environments—that is what being international means. The Sen & Sea project encloses an international living experience loop composed of five HUBs: Art HUB (art center theater, boutique hotel, cultural plaza), International Life HUB (library, commercial streets, master's cottages), Cultural Creativity HUB (innovation platform, green industrial experience), Waterfront Sports HUB (health management, sports themes), and Science Education HUB (outreach education, specialty training). We are creating a lifestyle here that is humanistic, ecological, international, vibrant, and symbiotic, making Sen & Sea an attractive area." He stated that in building a sustainable platform, Sen & Sea not only leverages technology but also community organization and management: "It's not just about neighborliness, but also finding resonance in spiritual aspects and innovation and entrepreneurship, leading to sharing and co-prosperity."

This vast and rich ideal living destination will be glimpsed through the approximately 90,000-square-meter Future International Living Demonstration Area, set to open in mid-November, offering a peek into the "Sen & Sea International Life."
