On September 30, we once again rendezvoused with China's major national asset, the FAST telescope, at Pingtang Astronomy Town for a two-day, one-night Drunk Beauty Moon Viewing Tour. Guizhou Xijiu's 2020 Mid-Autumn Night Drink Xijiu event was themed 'Rivers and Moons Share the Same Light, Mountains and Rivers Intoxicate Together.'

As the Mid-Autumn full moon arrives, it outshines other nights. Mid-Autumn comes every year, but this year, under special circumstances, the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day coincide, igniting immense respect for the ordinary heroes who stepped forward during the pandemic, floods, and hurricanes to protect our land.

Earlier, on September 21, to convey the beautiful wishes of a full moon, family reunion, and national unity, Guizhou Xijiu had already launched an online campaign inviting everyone to release blessing lanterns,

honoring heroes and sending wishes. As of September 30, over one million people had released their blessing lanterns, expressing their heartfelt wishes for family, heroes, and the nation, and unleashing their patriotic sentiments. In the 'Climb High to Gaze at the Sky Eye' segment of the Mid-Autumn Night Drink Xijiu; Drunk Beauty Moon Viewing Tour, guests had their closest encounter with the FAST telescope, perceiving the Sky Eye and listening to the heartbeat of the moon.

Wishing to sing and drink under the moonlight, with the moon's glow forever shining in our cups—after gazing at the Sky Eye and listening to the sounds of the universe, a dazzling opening light show titled 'Blooming Flowers and Full Moon' kicked off the Drunk Beauty Moon Viewing Dinner. Chinese original musicians Meng Ran and Yan Zehuan, ethnic singer Huang Chunyan, and the 'Flower of the Miao' Ou Sang took the stage one after another, singing to the moon with everyone, expressing beautiful wishes for life and the motherland.

At the event, Meng Ran performed 'Youth' with deep emotion, evoking people's gratitude and respect for the 'youth' who stepped forward during the pandemic to guard the land. Additionally, Meng Ran, together with Yan Zehuan, performed the 2020 Xijiu 'My University' public welfare theme song 'Let Dreams Grow,' interpreting the Xijiu gentleman spirit of 'virtue carries the world,' and narrating Xijiu's public welfare journey. Amidst the grand and majestic music, the giant blessing lantern at the center of the stage gradually lit up amid cheers, carrying the beautiful wishes of online and offline audiences for family, friends, and heroes, praying for national peace and family reunion.

That evening, Wang Qiming, a researcher at the National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chief process engineer of the FAST telescope, attended the event, conveyed his blessings, and joined the audience in raising a toast to honor the 22 years of selfless dedication and craftsmanship of Nan Rendong, the 'father of the Sky Eye,' as well as to countless Chinese scientists and more ordinary heroes. He also expressed his love for Guizhou: 'Some miracles only happen in Guizhou, such as the Sky Eye and fine wine. The heritage along the Chishui River is also connected to the countless engineers and workers who build and guard our major national assets. Building a major national asset requires the unwavering persistence and dedication of many, and brewing fine wine similarly requires diligent brewing culture and the craftsmanship spirit inherited by Xijiu.'
