KENZO 'Flower Power' Party Ignites Chengdu, Pop-Up Flower Shop Lands Simultaneously

Published: 2023-03-31

On November 6, KENZO spent a wonderful evening with brand friends, experiencing the spirit of the party theme [Pop-art Bouquet].

The event was held at REGULAR in Chengdu, one of the city's most popular public art spaces.

This emerging landmark is dedicated to creating a trendy leisure space favored by young people. Choosing REGULAR for KENZO's 'Flower Power' perfectly embodies the brand's rejuvenated youthful energy.

Floral elements have always been a source of inspiration for KENZO's designs. Founder Kenzo Takada boldly innovated by blending vibrant colors and flowers from the brand's inception.

Artistic Director Nigo, with his innate street culture DNA, collides with the brand's pop culture, reinterpreting floral elements and propelling them into a trendy symbol loved by the younger generation.

The event space was designed with KENZO's floral elements, creating a red space composed of stacked red cubes. The trendy and distinctive atmosphere perfectly presented Nigo's new vision for KENZO.

Since early November, the 'KENZO Pop-Up Flower Shop' has officially opened, landing in Chengdu and Shanghai. Collaborating with trendy flower shops, it creates urban pop-up gardens with Boke begonia flowers and pop-art bouquet elements.

The pop-up flower shop, starting in Chengdu, is also located at REGULAR.

Whether it's the nearly 3-meter-tall striking Boke flower installation outside the store, the Boke flower stickers covering the steps and spreading across the inner walls of the sunken garden, or the vibrant floral displays inside, it has become a 'check-in spot' for the young and trendy.

As the second stop, the Shanghai pop-up flower shop is located on Anfu Road, a vibrant hub for the new generation in the city.

In addition to the Boke flower stickers inside the pop-up shop, Boke flowers can also be seen blooming on the windows of trendy stores along Anfu Road, creating an immersive Boke 'flower invasion' street scene that continues KENZO's bold and creative pop culture language.
