April 4: Hanshi Festival (Cold Food Festival)

Hanshi Festival, also known as the "No-Smoking Festival" or "Cold Festival," was once the most important folk sacrificial day in China and is the only traditional Han festival named after a dietary custom. Since the custom of tomb sweeping and ancestor worship during Hanshi is similar to Qingming, you can consider combining the two, or plan activities such as spring outings, making green rice balls (qingtuan), and online sharing of Hanshi cuisine.

April 5: Qingming Festival (Tomb-Sweeping Day)

April 20: Guyu (Grain Rain)

April 22: Shangsi Festival

Shangsi Festival, commonly known as the Third Day of the Third Lunar Month, is a traditional Chinese folk festival featuring customs like sacrificial banquets, floating wine cups along winding streams, and spring outings. Consider planning food-related or blessing activities, as well as a series of events on traditional Shangsi customs, such as kite flying, poetry composition, giving orchid grass, and spring excursions.
