SAP China Partner Summit

Executives from SAP and elite partners from various industries gathered to discuss SAP's development direction and strategic plans in China for 2019. They engaged in extensive and in-depth discussions on topics such as digital transformation in the cloud era, rapid business growth in China, and the partner ecosystem.

During the main session on the morning of the 15th, Mr. Li Qiang, Senior Vice President of SAP Global and General Manager of SAP China, delivered a keynote speech titled "Cloud Strategy, Smart Everywhere."

On one hand, against the backdrop of SAP's performance growth in China from 2014 to 2018, he elaborated on SAP's efforts and achievements in driving growth, fostering government cooperation, and establishing thought leadership, focusing on the two major strategic directions of 2018: 'Cloud Transformation' and 'Digital Transformation.' He also highlighted new breakthroughs in accelerating partners' cloud transformation and innovation.

On the other hand, taking 2019 as a new starting point, in the context of the digital economy providing 'new momentum' for China's economic development, SAP seized the historic opportunity of the early arrival of the cloud era by launching the 'China Acceleration Plan.' The 2019 SAP China ELT organizational structure was officially announced, with four strategic initiatives to drive SAP China toward its 2020 goals of becoming the #1 enterprise SaaS provider and the #1 digital transformation technology provider.

Subsequently, Li Xudong, Chief Operating Officer of SAP China, delivered a speech titled "Ecosystem Innovation, Smart Enterprise," breaking down SAP China's 2019 ecosystem goals and reinforcing the positioning of SAP's smart enterprise architecture as an ecosystem platform with multiple collaboration models. Shui Junfeng, General Manager of SAP China's Partner Ecosystem, reviewed the development path of building a new partner ecosystem in 2018, using '2019 SAP Partner Way' as a starting point. He stated that in 2019, SAP China will build a new-generation ecosystem in an all-round and multi-level manner, focusing on four aspects: 'Focusing on SMEs,' 'Accelerating Cloud Transformation,' 'Building Partner Economy,' and 'Promoting Industrial Internet Innovation.'

Guan Chenguang, General Manager of the Dealer Ecosystem for Huawei Cloud China's Ecosystem Cooperation Business Department, was invited as a special guest and delivered a keynote speech titled "Cloud Gathering Partners, Win-Win Future." With rich and rapidly iterating cloud services, Huawei Cloud's business scope has covered 170+ countries and regions worldwide. Through technical cooperation and joint innovation with SAP, it provides excellent and systematic solutions for enterprise digital transformation. In the future, it will also promote the prosperity of cloud business based on the 'Huawei Cloud Partner Plan' 3.0.

On behalf of SAP, Mr. Li Qiang expressed heartfelt gratitude and high respect to SAP's partners for their efforts, and called on everyone to continue close cooperation with SAP in exploring the cloud and new customer markets in 2019. Awards were also presented to outstanding partners who have been advancing together with SAP.

In the afternoon's industry and growth enterprise sub-forums, executives from SAP's consumer, discrete manufacturing, energy and resources, high-tech, services, and other industries, as well as commercial enterprises, shared new cooperation models and development spaces for 2019 with partners, based on their industry characteristics and the dynamic features of cloud technology, through various forms such as their own solutions, providing more support for mutual win-win in the new year.

The complete success of this summit was not only a 'from new to heart' dialogue between SAP and its partners, but also expressed SAP's confidence and determination to help Chinese enterprises achieve digital transformation with efficient cloud services.
