In May, Tianjin enjoyed clear skies and gentle breezes. Amid this springtime splendor, the grand opening ceremony of GIF Transmission Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was held on May 8. The event was filled with a warm atmosphere as numerous guests gathered to witness this celebration.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Sun Wei, General Manager of GIF Transmission Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., delivered the opening speech. Mr. Sun welcomed and thanked the attending guests, expressed gratitude to the Wuqing District leaders, customers, and shareholders who have long supported the company's development, as well as to all suppliers and team members involved in the GIF Tianjin project. He also introduced the range of testing services currently available at GIF Tianjin and reiterated the company's future development plans and goals: to rapidly build a professional team backed by German technology, oriented toward the world, and deeply rooted locally, providing first-class services to China's automotive development with first-class technology and equipment, thereby rewarding customers, giving back to society, and contributing to China's automotive industry.

Next, Mr. Nobert Indlekofer, Member of the Supervisory Board of ATESTEO GIF Group, conveyed warm greetings from the company's shareholders. The Board expressed great appreciation for the GIF Tianjin team's achievement of operational production in a short time. This was no easy task; it was the team's efficient work that ensured the success of Phase I of the GIF Tianjin project. As an enterprise under IHO, the holding company of the Schaeffler family, GIF Tianjin's development has received comprehensive support from the Group's shareholders, who are committed to making GIF a benchmark in the field of automotive transmission testing.

The smooth implementation of the GIF Tianjin project in Wuqing would not have been possible without the Wuqing District government's open investment attraction policies and emphasis on high-tech industry investment. Mr. Zhang Shaofeng, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Tianjin Wuqing Development Zone, attended the ceremony and delivered an important speech. Secretary Zhang stated: "GIF Tianjin is the testing center established by Germany's ATESTEO GIF Group in northern China, a high-end productive service project specializing in automotive transmission testing. After the strong alliance with the German Schaeffler family company, a Fortune 500 enterprise, the project's comprehensive strength has become even more robust, and it will undoubtedly make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the park." The Wuqing Development Zone adheres to the new development philosophy, actively integrates into the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, continuously improves development quality and efficiency, and is striving to build a "gateway for collaborative innovation and an eco-tech park." It will continue to provide full support for GIF Tianjin's development. GIF Tianjin's focus on new energy testing aligns with Wuqing District's development philosophy, fostering positive interaction between the government and the enterprise for mutual growth.

At the ceremony, Mr. Takeshi Maruyama, Vice President of Nidec Tosoku Corporation, and Ms. Zhou Wanting, Vice President of NIO and Chief Operating Officer of XPT NIO Drive Technology, delivered speeches.

Mr. Takeshi Maruyama expressed his trust in the ATESTEO GIF Group, stating: "ATESTEO is an enterprise we can confidently entrust with our work." This was truly encouraging for us.

NIO's electric control testing was one of the first testing projects after GIF Tianjin commenced operations. Ms. Zhou Wanting, on behalf of NIO, acknowledged our efficient and professional testing capabilities, emphasizing that GIF has played an indispensable role as a key part of NIO's product launch into the market.

Dr. Kan Lei, Member of the Board and Chief Technology Officer of ATESTEO GIF Group, and Chairman of GIF China, expressed gratitude to all leaders, customers, partners, media partners, and the entire GIF China team. Over the past decade since entering China, GIF has been committed to contributing to the development of China's transmission industry. The establishment of GIF Tianjin enables us to support more domestic automakers and allows our technology to take root and flourish in northern China. Dr. Kan stated: "The new energy test benches in Phase I of GIF Tianjin align with market development and the needs of the times, and will surely assist Chinese automakers in energy conservation and emission reduction." Additionally, Dr. Kan outlined the future blueprint for GIF China, including the planned Phase II of GIF Tianjin and the gradual establishment of a southern testing center in China. The three testing centers in Suzhou, Tianjin, and Guangzhou will complement each other, dedicated to providing Chinese customers with more efficient, comprehensive, and reliable services. Currently, the growth of industry innovation momentum and a series of Chinese government measures to expand opening-up have given the Board full confidence in China's economy and automotive market. The Board will make every effort to support the development of GIF China. After the speeches, the ceremony proceeded to the launch ceremony. Mr. Zhang Shaofeng, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Tianjin Wuqing Development Zone; Mr. Nobert Indlekofer, Member of the Supervisory Board of ATESTEO GIF Group; Dr. Kan Lei, Member of the Board and CTO of ATESTEO GIF Group and Chairman of GIF China; Mr. Wolfgang Schmitz, Member of the Board and CEO of ATESTEO GIF Group and Director of GIF China; and Mr. Sun Wei, General Manager of GIF Transmission Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., jointly pressed the button to launch GIF Tianjin's journey into the future, following the host's countdown.
